VIVA greatly recognizes that reducing animal overpopulation is the key to minimizing animal suffering, VIVA has partnered with Dr. Solis to spay and neuter our indigent street animals every Thursday at his office for FREE (donations
are greatly appreciated). This free service is only for those who do
not have the resources to pay and is targeted to help the vulnerable and
indigent street animal population.
There are some changes to the clinic procedures for servicing dogs and cats spay and neuter surgeries. These changes reflect Dr. Solis' new summer hours of operation and reflect new procedures to ensure the health of the animal. The clinic will continue to offer Spay and Neuter Clinics every Thursday free of charge to those who do not have the resources to pay for the service. It remains to target vulnerable and indigent street animals. The service is now done by APPOINTMENT only. Appointments can be made by contacting Dr. Solis' office in advance at 686- 577-6232. The maximum surgeries to be done are TEN. These appointments will start at 9am (not 8:30). Dr. Solis will accept the animals himself prior to surgery to ensure the health of the animal. NO ANIMAL WILL BE TAKEN THAT HAS TICKS. Pre-existing health issues of the animals endanger its ability to survive sterilization surgeries. Non-appointment people who are turned away will be issued an appointment for the following week. If you have any questions concerning the spay and neuter clinics, please contact Dr. Solis' office or call Carolanne Burns at 686-577-3076.
Please help VIVA reduce animal overpopulation. As a community,
we can reduce animal suffering! VIVA thanks Ronda Walpole for her
continued generosity in funding the spay and neuter project.

Thunder Is Powerfully Affectionate
Gender: Male (neutered)
Good with Kids: Probably
Good with Cats: Yes
Good with Dogs: Yes
Thunder is part of the "Eight is Enough" litter of pups. He has tugged at his foster's heartstrings in a special way and is ready to find his forever home. Other than being especially cute, (those eyes!), he is an easy learner and is almost totally housebroken. His grey coat and light eyes make us think he that he may be part Wienriener. Thunder, with few clouds, is powerfully cute and affectionate. Would you like to meet him? Contact his foster at barbarabagileo.com or call 686-193-2167.

A True Sweetheart, Annie
Annie Age: 4-5 yrs Breed: Shepherd X
Gender: Female (spayed)
Good with Kids: Probably
Good with Cats: Probably
Good with Dogs: Yes
Annie has been the receiver of kindness and generosity of sponsors and fosters. A true sweetheart, she is the mother of two of our lovely adoptables, Ruko and Pinto. She was found in the desert with BB shot in her paw and was sponsored by a generous couple who paid for her medical care. She now shamelessly loves car rides (jumps right in and is ready to go!) and is the delight of our fostered dogs. She knows kindness and companionship and is extremely friendly. Would you like to meet sweet Annie? You can contact Marcia at 686-214-1383 or email her at baja.jena@yahoo.com.
